Summer awards many great photo moments, especially at the beach so be sure to take your camera along on every trip.

Photo ops on the beach

Be sure to capture little ones playing in the sand or building a sand castle; kids and adults burying each other in the sand, falling in the water or just relaxing on a float or tube.

Little ones in their swimsuits and hats make really cute photos and you could use the color in their swim suit as the main color on your page. Then embellish it with these cutouts: sunglasses, beach balls, beach toys, flip flops, beach towels or beach wear and the sun.

There is also the cookout or making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. You could use backdrops and embellishments of food like hotdogs and soda cans.

Another great idea is to get everyone together with the lake or ocean in the background. When you're ready to create your page, you could use palm trees or a sandy beach as a back drop, then embellish with rocks, sand castles or beach toys.

If you travelled to a resort near a beach, photos of the resort and various activities therein make for an album filled with those precious memories that will last for years.

A cruise is another great photo op that also makes for some great beachy shots. Most cruises stop at a beach for a few hours if not a day, so you can get some great photos there. Try to get the ship in the background if possible as well as the surrounding area. Then when you're ready to assemble your page, you can use boats, trees, bungalows and other such items that were similar to your specific cruise.

If you have a boat, photos of your family on the boat are always fun. Swimming and diving off the boat, water skiing and tubing always make for great memories. Save those memories in an album using backdrops and embellishments of water ski's, tubes and swimmers.

The ideas are endless when it comes to creating your beachy scrapbooking themed album. Be sure to take your camera wherever you go so you don't miss a single memory making shot!
