Happy Spring scrappers. I thought that it would be really spring of me to share a quick and easy basket. This basket could have tons of purposes, such as a desk decor for the spring, spring storage, or a great spring gift. To get started you will need the following supplies:
12x12 Pattern Paper ~ doublesided paper is recommend

Staple gun

Glue dots

Adhesive

Now that you have your supplies, let's make a basket today. I used pattern papers by My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow 12x12 sheet this is a one sided sheet but I loved the pattern so I ran with it. The next thing I wanted was a scallop edge so using my threaded border punch I created a scallop edge.

If you like the scallop edge there are some beautiful Spring scallop papers by Basic Grey Kioshi Blue Vera Doilies Die Cut paper and My Minds Eye "Plie" Darling Dots Paper (Die-Cut) available in the Twopeasinbucket.com Store

After I made my scallop edge paper I took the paper and folded into threes starting with the end side, then I turned the sheet and started to fold again starting for the end side. Your sheet should look like this now:

You should have nine measuring 4x4, starting at the end with the middle 4x4 box cut a slit to the middle line then turn your sheet to the opposite side and repeat cutting a slit to the middle line.

Next, take each end on the right and left fold them toward the middle then staple the three ends together like so. Turn to the opposite and repeat, next thing you would need to do is hide your staples with a cute coordinating lollipop or scallop punch flower.

The Handle: Cut a strip of 1.5 x12 coordinating pattern paper, using an adhesive adhere the strip of paper to your basket.

Presto you have a really cute Spring basket !

If you love scrapbooking, you might have a lot of ideas for what and how you can make scrapbooks to last for many years to come. They become some of the most treasured items any family will ever have in their possession. You might even pass them on for many generations. So what’s one great scrapbook idea you can do which will last?

You can try to scrapbook a family tree! This will require some time and research but it might even be a project you want to take on with the whole family. Your research will be very important first but the good news is the Internet now makes family tree research easier than ever before.

You will also want to gather your supplies ahead of time. You don’t want to get into the creative process only to discover that you’re missing something you need to complete your family tree. If you don’t already have the tools needed to create a scrapbook, it’s easy to pick up the basics, even on a budget.

You might want to plan your project before you gather the supplies, this way you have a better idea of what you actually need. If you are missing tools or essentials, you might ask friends or family members if you can borrow theirs or even have a scrapbook party and allow everyone to bring their own supplies so together, you have many more options to choose from.

Be sure to label everything properly in your family tree scrapbook so that your family and future generations will know who everyone is. Whether your scrapbook is just a couple of small pages or an entire book full of pages, you should store it properly, display it properly and then be proud to share it with others.

Not only is this an example of your handiwork but it’s also a great family heirloom. It’s an opportunity to learn about your family and to spread this knowledge to other family members. This should be a fun and creative experience but it’s also a learning experience and something you can pass down to your children and other family members as time goes on.

BRRR... It's been cold around here for the past few days, and we are totally snowed in. So, I thought about how wonderful this time of the year is for scrappers. It's a great activity for those cold days when you're curled up next to the fire. And with all the snowy fun and holiday festivities going on, you should have plenty of pictures to work with.

Coming up with great winter layouts can be a bit of a challenge, though. The bright colors you used in the spring and summer don't quite fit, nor do many of the nature-inspired embellishments you would use in other seasons. But there is inspiration to be found. Here are some layout theme ideas to get you going:

Snowmen - The snowman is a popular winter figure that adds a whimsical touch to your scrapbooking. You could create an adorable layout by cutting pictures into circles of three different sizes and stacking them on top of one another like a snowman. A border featuring snowmen also makes a nice frame for photos of winter fun.

Snowflakes - They say that no two snowflakes are exactly alike, so a snowflake layout is anything but boring. Why not make some paper snowflakes or have your child make them), arrange them on the page, and place photos in the middle of them?

Candy canes - The candy cane stripe pattern is symbolic of winter and the holidays. Using it as a backdrop or in borders makes for a fun page. How about making a heart-shaped photo frame with two candy cane die cuts?

Winter scenes - A nice winter scene is great for the background of a scrapbook page. It expresses the beauty of the season without taking the attention away from your photos. A beautiful and easy way to create such a layout is to use photo editing software to fade and soften a picture of a winter landscape, then print it onto a piece of card stock.

Winter scrapbook layouts are often more muted than those of other seasons, but they do not have to be colorless and boring. Splashes of red and green can spruce up pages while maintaining a winter ambiance. Blues and purples are also good choices for the season.

Scrapping your snow-filled memories is a fun way to pass the time during chilly weather. With some fun and creative layouts, you can give your winter photos the beautiful presentation they deserve.

Do you have any LO featuring the above idea? Leave a link in the comments area so we can all see and get inspired.

I have always been inspired and eager to try this fun technique: Paper stitching ! I have made many pages and cards using handwritten stitching so this week I took my love for this stitch look to a new level to sewing machine stitching. For some scrapper this may a breeze but for others this may be the new technique you need to learn for the week either way I hope you enjoy and find it helpful. Let's get started !

Supplies I used:

Sewing Machine ~ Sew Crafty Mini by Provo Craft

Pattern papers ~ Bo Bunny

Coordinating Cardstock ~ Bazzill

Stick and rub on title

Adhesive

Photos

Now first things first: it is best that when you plan your layout look at you paper and photos a line them where you would like them to go before adding adhesive or sewing them to your background. For my layout I started with my base (background cardstock) and layered my pattern paper pieces that coordinated well and matched my pages theme. Double-sided sheet works well with the technique of layering sheets this way you can alternate patterns and not worry if they coordinate well or not.

Next I started to adhere my paper pieces by adding adhesive only to the middle of my papers away from the edge of the base where I intend to sew my stitching. Reason being you ask? Well with machine stitching you will need to add a little to prevent your layers from slipping or buckling, on the other hand the adhesive cause the needle to become sticking or damaged for future use. This is another reason you should plan you page before adhering your papers to your background.

Before we begin let's discuss sewing machines, for this project I used Provo crafts Sew craft mini machine so my stitching patterns and option are very simple. After using it for this project I would only recommend this machine for cards and thins layers of papers. Now if you own a more diverse machine your stitching options are much wider to use but weather you are a skilled seamstress or just a beginner I would recommend a Janome sew mini. This machine is compact and is very easy to use see a demo here, I would saw it is excellent for a paper crafter's need to sew on their projects.

After you have your machine set to the setting and stitching of chose lets begin to stitch our page, my stitching on my page is not straight but I love the look you get when you use different kinds of stitching on the same design. So Don't be afraid to experiment! I prefer the double stitch and out of order look again you can stitch as much or as little as you like. The straight stitch and zig-zag are the most commonly used when sewing. Now onto your sewing simply start sewing by lowering your presser foot and start sewing.I continued my stitching around my page creating a frame look that worked perfectly with my page. From here you can add your photos and finishing embellishment for a fabulous layout.

Final Thoughts: I really hope you find this easy and helpful to follow, if you did enjoy it or maybe you tried this technique don't be shy share it with us we will love to see your work or hear about thanks for stopping by!

Feeling inspired by my surrounds I have started my Christmas card-making. Right now some of you are feeling one of two ways about you Christmas cards: either you want to make them (because this is your thing ) like me, or you feel like it's expected by your family since they know you are the craft lover. I can tell you guys this is my thing: I love it! I get to do it once a year, so why not? I love this time of year it really gives me the opportunity to put my layouts aside and put my card-making skills to the test. Today I have a few cards to help get you started !

Featured Product: Basic Grey‘s Eskimo Kisses

My Thoughts

Today for my designs I used these beautiful double sided papers from the Basic Grey‘s Eskimo Kisses collection. I am usually a tradition red and green type of person but after seen this collection with the pinks and purples I have changed my ways. As you can see with using this collection I made a few different styles elegant and a traditional card to satisfy my old ways. I really enjoyed the versatility of the double sided paper which I am a huge fan of. I think with double sided paper it's like get two coordinating sheets in one, which takes all the guesswork out and keep you creative. Another good thing about this collection is you can use it for Christmas or winter cards and layouts.

Quick tip: This year save time scrapbooking your Holiday events by scrapbooking each event into a 1 or 2 scrapbook page layout. A really simple way to achieve this would be to consider changing the sizes of your photos. Use more 2x2, 3x3, 2x4, 3x4 combination then the normal 4x6 .

Wow! November already, I was asking myself this morning where did October go. As you know the holidays are quickly approaching and I want you to be equipped and refreshed with all you crafting tools and technique. So for this month I will be sharing fun and creative ways to help you make gifts, layouts and cards. Today I will be showing you how I used a Tim Holtz Mini Mask to make some really cute Fall theme tags. The mini mask are such a great tool you can ink them, stamp over them, sand over them and even use acrylic paints with them. Basically with this tool your creativity is endless, to get you started I am going to show you single masking using the inking method.

So let’s get started!

Supplies you will need:

Tags ( Kraft or Chipboard)

Mask

Ink

Make up sponge or ink dabber

Eyelets

Eyelet setter set

Supplies Needed

1. When you first take it out of the package you will notice there are two sheets. There is a black printed sheet and then you’re masking sheet. So you want to take your clear sheet of masking design and prepped, which means take all the little extra inside pieces of the design off.

Prepping Step 1
