Do you need some inspiration this holiday season? Why not try something new like digital scrapbooking. Digital scrapbooking is a like traditional scrapboking but there is no mess, no need for extra room or storage to supply scrapbooking supplies. Even though 90% of my designs are created the traditional way, I can still appreciate a great digital kit, the creative and possibilities of digital kits are endless.
Things You Should Know
What do I need to get started?
- A photo editing program: Adobe Photoshop
, or Digital Scrapbook Artist
- At least 256 MB RAM on your computer operating system.
The Benefits of Digital Scrapbooking
- It is inexpensive the most expensive purchase you will make would be for your photo editing program.
- there is no mess everything is stored on your Laptop or PC , if you do decide to print them out they will go from the print to the album of your chose.
- You can alter the digital elements colors and use them over and over again for any theme.
- It is a little time consuming at first but once you get the hang of it you will spend less time designing your pages then traditional scrapbooking.
How to Save Your Finished Pages
When saving your pages remember to always save in layers (psd file for photshop) you may have to edit the pages later. Next you will want to save your pages in the format that will work best with your choice of printing methods. if you are uploading your pages to a printing lab it is best to save it in JPEG file format. If you are printing from home, again JPEG and also PDF formats work best .
